He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas John Edward and Cora G Bodi (Gillenwater); his daughter Teressa "Ann" Hockingberry Billfeld; his granddaughter Ashley McRae; his siblings, James Bodi, William Bodi and Eleanor Peters; and his wife Carol Ann Ellicker.
He is survived by: his sons, John Thomas Edward Bodi III (Patty) of Lima and Scott Michael Bodi (Charlene Knight) of Minnesota; his sister Janet Doss of Lakeview, OH; his grandchildren, Troy Hockingberry (Carolyn), Aaron Hockingberry (Lindsay), Stephen Billfeld, John Thomas Edward Bodi IV (Logan), Jerod Bodi (Holly), April Stewart (Brandon), Sara Knight, Scott Adams and Eddy Knight; his great grandchildren, Xavier, Sage, Austin, Layla, Alexia, Halley, Annabell, John V, Adam, Eddie, Lyra and Levi; and his son-in-law Arni Billfeld of Sarnia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shoffstall Funeral Home (205 S Main St, Lakeview, OH 43331). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in John's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriner's Children's Hospital.
