It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Richard Bercaw (Lima, Ohio), born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Bercaw and Betty Bercaw (Barker); his wife Ann Mathews; his brother David Bercaw; and his siblings-in-law, Thom Mathews, Denny Mathews, Dana McPheron, Sue Mathews, Bev Plaugher, Patty Ridenour (David Sr.) and Sally Mathews.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Bercaw of Russells Point, OH, Chris Bercaw (Penny) of Knoxville, TN, Stephanie McElderry (Steve) of Lima, OH and Jennifer Wren (Bill) of Bellefontaine, OH; his grandchildren, Jessica Bercaw, Ben Bercaw, Nick Bercaw (Rachel), Ashley McElderry, Josh McElderry, Hannah Gantz (Grayson) and Hayley Rogers (David); his nephews, Bill Bercaw (Vera) and Mike Bercaw; and his siblings-in-law, David May (Mary Rose), Rick Mathews, Helen Swint (Kelly) and Shelly McPheron. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
