Joanne Y. Hemenway Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Y. Hemenway of Lima, Ohio, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joanne Y. Hemenway to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Lee Hemenway; her sisters, Virginia Routson (Robert), Vancine Placie (Bob) and Wanda Winter (Michael); her half-brother Jack Berryhill; and her stepfather Lloyd Carr.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Hemenway (Dorrie Thompson), Thomas Hemenway (Lori Ann), Leah Bryan (Michael), Jennifer Cartwright (Thomas) and Erik Baughman (Tammy); and her grandchildren, Jared (Emily), Justin, Jill (Eric), Kate, Josh, Sonya, Kina, Dustin (Jennifer), Amanda (Brad), Jason (Jessica), Travis (Mary), Jonathan, Lauren (Claude) and Erin (Logan). She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chamberlain Huckeriede Funeral Home (920 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
