He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Ward and Ida Margaret Steed (Fair); and his siblings, Don Steed, Dick Steed, Betty Boothby, Lillian Wight, Mary Steed and Nancy Riley.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven Steed (Tamara) of Zaleski, OH and Michael Steed (Suzanne) of Lima; and his grandchildren, Jessica Wilson (Drew), Joseph Radebaugh (Latia VanDyke), Jake Steed, Avalon Steed and Cayden Steed.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Allen County Historical Society or the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District.
