He was predeceased by: his mother Lois VanBrunt; his brothers, Ron Doty and Larry Doty; and his nephew Chris Doty. He is survived by: his siblings, Jim Doty (Carol), Don Doty (Jane), Patricia Smith, Doris Snoke (Bill) and JoLynn Yates; and his sister-in-law Barbara Doty. He is also survived by sixteen nieces and nephews.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Columbus Grove Public Library.
