He is survived by: his stepchildren, Stephanie Thompson (Greg Ernest) of Findlay and Don Van Schoyck, III (Josi) of Lima; his stepgrandchildren, Hailey, Bridgett, Alex, Jaxson Van Schoyck, Blake, Ryan, Deriek, Kayla Thompson and Madison Ernest; and his sons, Andrew James Simmons, Brent Kyle Simmons and Daniel Brennan Simmons.
