With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James P. McGuire of Lima, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 11, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd W. McGuire and Mary Elizabeth McGuire (Wilhelm); his son Shawn McGuire; and his sisters, Mary Lou Zuercher and Joan Lotz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Erin Woods of Kentucky and Shannon Prowant of Kentucky; his daughter-in-law Julie McGuire of Lima; his siblings, Kenneth (Pat McGuire) of Lima, Greg McGuire (Sondra) of Lima, Michael McGuire of Lima, Barbara Cline (Fred) of Indiana, Kathy Gerdeman (Tom) of Florida, Sharon Cheney of Lima and Lisa Lynch (Jim) of Lima; his brother-in-law Jack Zuercher; and his caregiver Scott Swinehart of Lima. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a good friend.
