He was predeceased by: his parents, John Donald, Sr. and Dorothy Ferry Bourk; his siblings, John D. Bourk, Joseph P. Bourk, William M. Bourk and Dorothy A. Johnson; his brother-in-law Thomas Johnson; his nephew Scott Johnson; and his granddaughter Nancy Ann McDade.
He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Bourk of Lima; his children, James Christopher Bourk of Covington, KY, John Bourk of Lima, Amy McDade (John) of Baltimore, MD and Heather Bourk (Michael Lind) of Washington, DC; his granddaughter Maeve McDade of Baltimore, MD; and his sisters-in-law, Gloria "Sadie" Bourk of Lima, Joann, Jean Fender of Columbus, Janet Thompson (Dennis) of Lincoln, CA, Ann Bixler (John) of Columbus and Mary Sink (Bruce) of Chandler, AZ. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Shawnee Chapel (1170 Shawnee Rd, Lima, OH 45805). A prayer was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rose Catholic Church (479 N West St, Lima, OH 45801).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose Catholic Church or Lima Central Catholic High School.
