He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Sawmiller and Millie Harris O'Connell. He is survived by: his children, Valerie Bailey (Mark), Michelle Maynard (Todd), Darnesha Sawmiller and Jack Wesley (Wives Anne); his sisters, Mildred Wilkins (Sherman) and Lorraine Horn Davis; his grandchildren, Leah, Matthew, Nathan, Nick, Shelly, Bree and Jenna; his great grandchildren, Marlin Cannon, Joshua, Max, Alex and Victoria; and also Trina Cannon.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hanneman-Siferd Funeral Home (506 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of choice in his memory.
