He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Mills and Ruthie Mills (Garrett); his spouse Shirley Mae Mills (Adkins); and his siblings, Freddie Mills, Sr., Anita Spencer, Kathy Butcher and Carol Pridemore.

He is survived by: his children, Gregory J. Mills (Lisa Lonsway), Kenneth Ross Mills (Laurie Zickefoose) and Rebecca Ann Lott (Timothy); his grandchildren, Devonne Everhart, Jesse Mills, Cody Mills, Joshua Mills (Aliah) and Jonathan Mills (Alexis); and his sisters, Janice White and Gail Tomblin. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
