He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruhlin Gus and Hazel Alfreda Pauff (Putnam); and his siblings, Virginia Pauff and Ruhlin G. Pauff, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, April L. Johns (Michael D.) of Lima, Steven Pauff (Arleen) of Newnan, GA and Chris A. Pauff (Kelly) of Lima. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Southside Christian Church, the Korean War Association or V. F. W. Post 1275 Lima.
