He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clay and Lavada Josephine "Josie" Clay (Blevins); his son Randall J. Clay; his wife Dorthie Gene Clay (Gillette); his siblings, Darrell Clay (Nell), Raymond Clay, Herbert Clay (Clara), Harold Clay, Billy Joe Clay, Louis Clay, Jr., Olga Accord (Fred), Charolette May (Bill), Kathleen Clay and Juanita Clay; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lindeman, Gerald Lamb and Jin Gibbons.
He is survived by: his son Rudy G. Clay of Toledo; his sisters, Mary Lindeman of Lima, Nellie Lamb of Cairo and Pat Gibbons of Elida; and his sister-in-law Dee Clay of Lima. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
