He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Addison Barnes and Mae Barnes; his siblings, Edwin, Irwin, Betty, Kate and Dottie; his wife Joan Crawford Barnes; his children, Dave (Coleen), Linda Bjerke (Dave), Paul (April) and Steve (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Candice, Capri, Jill, Ben, Brian, Sarah, Hannah, Peter and Evan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to St. Charles School Playground Project in memory of Hap Barnes… Arrangements handled by Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima.
