He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul S. Shutt and Verla E. Shutt (May); his son Samuel Harrison "Sammy" Shutt; and his siblings, Albert Shutt (Eloise), Gretchen Watkins (Perry), Betty Jo Shutt and Marilyn Derr (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Myrna Jean Shutt (Moorman); his son Scott L. Shutt (Terri); his grandchildren, Emily Brown (Jared) and Sam Shutt (Jamie Schirra); and his great grandchildren, Hadley and Barrett Brown.
