He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shaffer and Florence Shaffer; and his close friend Brett "Hammie" Hammer. He is survived by: his spouse Kim Shaffer; his children, Lara Shaffer, Dyan Scott (Doug), Gordon Shaffer II (Angie), Amanda Burchett and Heather Allison (Duane); his sisters, Debra Hahn (Chuck) and Teri Jennings; his grandchildren, Tre, Shay, Zayne, Reece, Jayden, Kyran, Kadyn, Alydia, Lasyn, Emie, Quinn, Will and Dalyn; and his pet Lucky.
