He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Amspaugh and Lottie Amspaugh (Stoner); and his wife Patricia L. Eley. He is survived by: his daughters, Fawn Counts (Steve) of Lima and Kelly Endicott (Daniel) of Lima; his grandchildren, Stacey Raspitzi (Paul), Brady Counts (Tina), Darcey Reilly (Mike), Abbey Endicott and Casey Counts (Kelley); and his great grandchildren, Taylor Counts, Lauren Counts, Caden Counts, Ava Raspitzi, Lincoln Counts, Cooper Counts, William Reilly, Olivia Raspitzi and Eleanor Reilly.
