In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Gary's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dewey Hardesty and Elizabeth Jane Fiedler (Bushong); and his granddaughter Abigail. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Leppert (Adam) of Lima, Erin Verstegen of Lima and Kristi Roberts (Brian) of Wayne, OH; his grandchildren, Isaac, Madyson and Aubree; and his sister-in-law Joan Miller (Phil). He is also survived by 10 siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home (920 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805).
Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Health St. Rita's Cancer Center.
