He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrill F. Cooley and Nelle Cooley (Copeland); his former wife Barbara H. Cooley (Turner); his wife Alice Cooley (Cummans); and his brother Charles F. Cooley.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Sharon L. Kelley (William) of Lakeside, OH, William M. Cooley of Lima, OH, Dr. David A. Cooley (Amada Aguina) of Pueblo, CO, Kevin D. Cooley (Barbara A.) of Lima, OH, Jan Reinsel (Tom), Angie Hefner (Dennis) and James Scott Cummans (JoAnn). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, Trinity Church, or the Gardeners Club of Lima, Garden Club.
