He was predeceased by: his parents, Eino Latvala and Agnes Latvala (Kasper); his wife Edith Latvala (Streeter); his daughter Donna Maki; and his sister Kathleen Geist.

He is survived by: his son Steven E. Latvala of Cato, WI; his son-in-law Steven M. Maki of Lima; and his grandchildren, Steve A. Maki (Christina), Nick Maki, Nancy Smith, Laurie Cox (Thomas), Barbara Wilson (Greg), Don Latvala, Jason Oberst and Jessi Firkus (Cory). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, PO Box 7111, Lafayette, OH 45854.
