It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis L. Silye (Lima, Ohio), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on March 18, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stephen M. Silye and Helen Marjean Silye (Brower); his wife Carolyn Mays Silye; his children, Denise Martz (Jeffery) of Gomer, Yvonne Conaway (Robert) of Lima, Michael Silye of Gahanna, OH and Joe Walker (Kerry); his siblings, Karen Shroyer (late Neil) of Wapak, Sandra Smith of Dublin, Catherine Beard (late David) of Wapak, Craig Keith of Lima, Sheryl Dishman (George) of Fresno, TX. and Sharon Keith of Fresno, TX.; his grandchildren, Robert Justin Conaway, Kelsey Conaway, Jessica Hire, Dalton Martz, Mathew Walker, Jacob Silye, Kaden Silye, Brendan Walker, Madison Walker and Ashton Silye; his stepparents, Deward Keith and Ona Silye; and his stepbrother James Keith. He was also cherished by nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
