Maxine Helmig (Wright); his wife Polly Helmig (Forton); his children, Gavin Helmig (Alisha), Dr. Sara Helmig of Memphis, TN and Kara Helmig (Donovan Shuster) of Grand Forks, ND; his grandchildren, Teagan Helmig and Gavin Sargent of Minot, ND; his siblings, Teresa DeCurtins of Cincinnati, OH, Brent Helmig (Marsha) of Cincinnati, OH, Connie Partee (Jeff) of Painesville, OH and Carl Helmig (Dawn); his siblings-in-law, Betsi Hurd (Pat) of Chesterfield, VA and David Forton (Sharon) of Villa Hills, KY; his parents-in-law, Gordon and Rosemary Forton; his brother-in-law Dennis DeCurtins; and his nephew Jonathan Hurd. He was also cherished by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
