He was predeceased by: his parent Major Edwards Jr.; his stepson Albert Gordon; his sister Cathy Carter; his grandparents, Major Edwards Sr., Genie and Winnie Brown; his brother-in-law John Thomas Jr.; and his stepfather Rudolph Warthem.

He is survived by: his mother Cennie Warthem (Brown); his fiancé Londa Ellis; his children, Xavier Lawson, Londayesha Edwards, Davre, Uan Edwards and Zy'Eral Edwards; his godchildren, Darreal Wright and Arthur Wright Jr.; his stepgrandmothers, Thelma and Ethel Edwards; and his siblings, Pamala Neal (Larry), Darrin Buxton (Bridgett), Janice Thomas, Brian Buxton (Tara), Kevin Chitman, Lisa Denson, Garrick Warthem, Lamont Nathan, Christopher Warthem, Daniel Edwards and Tina Harris. He is also survived by twenty eight grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren.
