He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dear and Doris Thelma Dear (Easton); his wife Janis Dear (Geboy); and his siblings, Larry Dear and Doris McCann.
He is survived by: his children, Darrel Dear II (Ronda) of Lima, Todd Dear (Tammy) of Lima and Darcy Dear of Lima; his grandchildren, Chasity Lowell (Troy), Lance Dear (Taylor), Luke Dear, Jenna McCormick (Alex), Kiley Rowe (Luke), Emma Deters (Henry Eriksen), Lucy Deters, Foster Deters and Frannie Deters; and his great grandchildren, Addyson, Parker Lowell, Ella Dear, Kannon, Crew McCormick, Nova and Zoey Rowe. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in -law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
