He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert J. Mayer and Carolyn F. Mayer (Dye); and his sister Theresa Mayer. He is survived by: his brother Randy Hale; his friend Shawn Dershem; his fiancée Kathryn Hunlock of Columbus Grove, OH; his children, Derek Mayer (Julie), Joshua Mayer (Lori) of Lima, OH, Matthew Mayer of Bluffton, OH and Taylor Harvey of Mooresville, NC; his grandchildren, Abigail, Lola, Caylee and Liam; and his siblings, Jeffrey Mayer (Jodi) of Lima, OH, Vicki Kohn (Barry) of Dayton, OH, Ronald Mayer (Diane Williams) of Harrod, OH, Kevin Mayer (Dawn Greenwood) of Lima, OH and Melissa Mayer (Kevin Alves) of Lima, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
