He was predeceased by: his siblings, Samuel Harrod, John Harrod, Rebecca Harrod and Ruth Broadhurst. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Wilcox (Phillip) and Jenelle Skeen (Joseph); his grandchildren, Carlie Serif and Bryan Serif (Georgeanna); and his great grandchild Piper Serif.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Administration, St. Rita's Hospice, or Trinity United Methodist Church.
