He was predeceased by: his parents, William Clyde and Mary Ruth West (Wagner); his son Lance Ryan West; his siblings, William Howard West (Jane) and Patricia Ann Marlatt; and his father-in-law Harold B. Ridenour.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly D. West (Duane Crowe) of Cape Coral, FL and Dr. Eric West (Dawn) of Cridersville; his grandchildren, Marissa Hunt (Matt), Chelsey Beer (Jeremy Crace), Dylan Beer (Kristin Walters), Taylor West (Grant Voisard) and Austin West; his great grandchildren, Benjamin and Carter; his brothers, Clyde Edward'Eddie'West of Lima, Harry Joseph'Joe' West (Debbie) of Frankfort, KY and Michael Wayne'Mike' West (Elowayne) of Chesterfield, Michigan; his brother-in-law George Marlatt of Phoenix, Arizona; his mother-in-law Clara Ridenour; and his sister-in-law Linda Vermillion (Tom) of Kissimmee, FL. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Shawnee Alliance Church (4450 Shawnee Rd, Lima, OH 45806). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to the ACS – Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge – Tampa, Fl that welcomed Dave and Barb to give them and countless others a special place to reside while fighting the fight.
