He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Edward and Helen Burden (Rhoades). He is survived by: his daughter Trisha Salyers (Don) of Harrod; his grandchildren, Christopher Motter (Calli) and Preslee Burden; his stepgrandchildren, Mackenzie DeNisco (John), Jadin Schimmoller (Justin) and Ashton Salyers; and his siblings, Jerry Burden (Mary) of Harrod, Lester Burden (Kelly) of Lima, Gina Vogt (Randy) of Lima, Linda Gahr (Gail) of Willard and Cindy Newport (Ed) of Lima. He is also survived by 3 step great grandchildren.
