She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Cleveland Hearne and Myrtis Dees Hearne; her husband Mike Carlin; and her siblings, David Hearne, Evangeline Rebel and Dollye Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Ava Morphis of Churubusco, IN, Emily Pancost (Mike) of Boney Lank, WA, James "Jimmy" Massengill (Crystal) of Lima, OH, Jesse Massengill of Rock Island, IL, Timothy Massengill of Mobile and Jay Phillip Massengill (Brianna) of Quincey, OH; her stepchildren, Anna Mason (Chris) of Auburn, IN and Michael "Mike" Carlin, Jr. of Churubusco, IN; and her sisters, Ann Radcliffe of Meridian, MS, Geraldine Stokes of Cuba and Dot Mason (Wayne) of Lauderdale, MS. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
She retired from Kimberly Care in Davenport, Iowa, where she cared for Alzheimer's patients.
