Vivian E. Proffitt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian E. Proffitt of Liberty Township, Ohio, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Vivian find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Ogan and Lora Ogan (Lawson); her husband David J. Proffitt; and her sons, Dean Proffitt and Roy Proffitt.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Proffitt (Donna) of LaFontaine, Indiana and Delores Welsh (Raymond Buchert) of Liberty Township, Ohio; and her daughter-in-law Janel Proffitt of Peru, Indiana. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wabash Chapel (231 Falls Ave, Wabash, IN 46992). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
