He was predeceased by: his father Nathan Thompson; his wives, E. Bonnie Thompson and Mary V. Thompson (Ginny); his daughter Donna J. Stewart (Ron); and his siblings, Kenneth Thompson (Charlene), Ralph Thompson, James Thompson (Rosemary), Pauline McElrath and Wilma Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Fornash (Wayne), Mark S. Thompson (Sheri) and Richard D. Thompson; and his brothers, Rodger Thompson (Roberta) and Mike Thompson (Sheila). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
