He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Coles and Josephine Coles (Wiggett); his daughter Joy Lynn Coles; and his siblings, Joyce Shilling, Clarence and Maynard Coles.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Coles (Cicchillo); his son Richard H. Coles Jr. (Brenda) of Sandy, Utah; his stepchildren, Thomas L. DeCamp (Lori) of Woodstock, Georgia and David A. DeCamp of Henderson, Nevada; his sister Donna Hodgkinson of McDonald; his mother-in-law Julia Cicchillo of Champion; his grandsons, Stefan D. Coles (Ashley) and Richard J. Coles (Brooke); his stepgrandchildren, Jackson T. DeCamp, Madison R. DeCamp, Carson M. DeCamp, Anthony D. DeCamp and Aeson J. DeCamp; and his great grandchild Zion K. Coles.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests any memorial contributions be made to the Rescue Mission of Youngstown, Warren Family Mission, or Warren Skeets Airport.
