He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Billie James and Aleene Mackey (Payne); his wife Amy Mackey (Slifer); his son Eric Mackey (Amy); his grandchildren, Caitlin and Colin; his daughter Allison Bowers (Jason); his grandchildren, Anna, Elora and Isaac; and his siblings, Steven Mackey (Sue), Sally Bagby (John), Patty Stovall (Harold), Gayle Williams (Donald), Sonny Slifer (Jan), Sandy Hansen (Don) and Janet Hotz (Glenn).
