He was predeceased by: his parents, Judge John Buckley and Rosalie Singler Buckley; his wife Miss Anne Finnerty; his daughter Joy Vanes; and his sister Mary Kay D'Isa.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Robert Vanes; his grandchildren, Dr. Kaila, John V. Buckley (Amanda), Meghan Buckley, Major Dan Vanes (Mindy), Colleen Lepley (David), Dr. Michael Vanes (Andreia), Dr. Jonathan Glaab (Danielle), Erin Smith (Bryan), Kelly Patterson (Kevin), Sean Sekola (Sarella), Colin, Caroline and Katie Sekola; his great grandchildren, John Buckley VI, Henry, Holden Vanes, Benjamin, Harrison Smith, Roark Glaab and Siena Sekola; and his brother Dr. Charles Buckley (Margaret).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Dr. Buckley to the Beatitude House for homeless women and children at 238 Tod Lane, Youngstown, Ohio 4404 or to St. Edward's Church, 240 Tod Lane, Youngstown, Ohio 44504.
