He was predeceased by: his wife Lois J.; his son Phil Brown (Kathy); his parents, James Brown and Ruth Draughn Brown; and his siblings, James "Bud" Brown, Jr., Norma Chambers, T. Carson Lodge, Scottish Rite and Degree.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sue Amend (Greg), Gina Dowd (Mike) and Kimberly Brown; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Frey (Eric), Laura Amend-Lindsay (John), Gregory Jr., Alex (Megan), Andrew Amend, Aaron (Emily), Jacob (Michelle), Nathan Brown (Lauren), Katie Delong (Brady), Brandon Schirmer (Haley), Melissa Stayton (Isiah), Kayla, Michael, Brian Dowd and Joshua Willenbrink (Lena); and his siblings, May Bryant, Virgil and Denny Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Parkinson Disease Association to help find a cure for Parkinson's.
