He was predeceased by : his parents, Claude Gunten and Edith Van Gunten (Renaux); his son Donald "Buck"; and his brother Tom. He is survived by : his significant other Maureen "Mo" Wilcheck; his children, Chris Van Gunten (Leisha) of Defiance, Pam Peterson of Pemberville and Wendy Swavely of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Easton, Cash Van Gunten, Melissa Merrill (Griffin) of Florida, Thomas Peterson and Samuel Swavely of Indianapolis; his sisters, Judith Bayer, Sara Toerne and Mary Jo Fox (Rick); and his pet Belle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
