He was predeceased by: his sons, Eugene L. Patton and Virgil S. Patton; and his siblings, Robert, Andrew, Frank Patton, Pearl Stanfill and Bessie Davis.
He is survived by: his spouse Lavon Patton (Kigar); his children, Ronda Sprouse (Bennie) of Clinton, Robin Carpenter (Ken) of Liberty Center, Rita Robertson of Liberty Center, Ruth Middleton (Dan) of Napoleon and Courtney W. Patton (Karen) of Liberty Center, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Amber, Mindy, Shawn, Susan, Mike, Davis, Megan, Tyler, J. C., Melanie, Michelle, James, Bethany, Melissa and Scott. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Henry County or a charity of the donor's choice.
