He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde, Sr. Hardy and Hazel Hardy (Carmony); his sister Brenda Hardy; and his niece Michelle Glynn. He is survived by: his wife Marie E. Hardy; his children, Ann Marie Mitchell (Matt) and Ken Hardy; his grandchildren, Thomas Hardy, Miranda Hardy, Faye Mitchell, Skylar Mitchell, Kenneth Taylor and Xavier Hardy; his great grandchildren, Marie J. Hardy, Penelope Hardy and Aubree Volgeli-Hardy; and his siblings, Beverly Glynn (Michael), Anita Hardy, Virgil John Hardy, Peggy Hadley (John) and Linda Hasenbalg (Dennis).
