He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Niese and Florence Niese (Siefer); his siblings, Art Niese (Mary), Harold Niese (Colletta) and Mildred Bidlack (Don); and his brother-in-law Ronald Lammers.
He is survived by: his wife Mary M. "Margie" Ellerbrock; his children, Richard Niese of Napoleon, Jerry Niese (Jane) of Leipsic, Jeff Niese (Annette) of Athens, Joe Niese (Jill) of Leipsic and Connie Niese (Rick) of Leipsic; and his sister Dolores Lammers of Leipsic. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
