He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Dietsch and Renata Dietsch (Blankin); and his sisters, Atalie Hornstraw and Carol Beck. He is survived by: his former wife Ruth Spitnale; his children, Lisa Rodriguez (John) of Leipsic, Lori Schroeder (Dale) of Leipsic and Lynn Hovest (Mike) of Gilboa; his grandchildren, Brooke Rodriguez (Bryant Butler), Summer Rodriguez (Ryan Burwell), Madyson Rodriguez, Brittani Schroeder (Trevor), Branden Wentworth (Kelly), Levin Hovest (Delaney), Reed Hovest (Faith), Presley Merz (Jacob) and Shana Hovest (Gavin Cupp); his stepgrandchildren, Nick, Jake and Bailey Schroeder; and his brother Lee Dietsch (Diane) of Hamler. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with the social distancing guidelines, a visitation will be Friday from 2-8 p. m. and Saturday from 10-11 a. m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. Due to regulations regarding COVID-19, masks are required upon entering the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Leipsic Fire Department or Putnam County CAP.
