It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Hovest of Leipsic, Ohio, born in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on September 18, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hovest and Lenore Hovest (Verhoff); and his brother-in-law Mike Bloomfield. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Barlage; his children, Andrew Hovest (Carrie) of Rittman, Dr. Amy Hovest (Brad Jordan) of Shawnee, Angela Morman (Dan) of Ottawa and Alison Hovest (Steve Brumbaugh) of Leipsic; and his siblings, Ed Hovest (Ann) of Ottawa, Charlie Hovest (Karen) of Leipsic, Dan Hovest (Cindi) of Ottawa, Rick Hovest (Terry) of Ottawa, Ronald Hovest (Robin) of Ottawa, Bill Hovest (Debra) of Gilboa, Mark Hovest (Jill) of Pandora, Linda Bloomfield of Lima and Jane Hovest of Celina. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
Due to regulations regarding the COVID 19, masks are required at the funeral home and church.
