He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm Ehlers and Dora Ehlers (Witham). He is survived by: his wife Eileen Knapke; his sons, Timothy Ehlers (Rose Ann) of Ottawa and Patrick Ehlers (Deb) of Leipsic; and his grandchildren, Kimberly, Joseph, Phillip, Danica and Riley.
