With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene W. Mansfield of Leipsic, Ohio, born in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on February 4, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Mansfield and Louise C. Mansfield (Scheele); his brother-in-law Alex Rodriguez, Sr.; and his niece Shaina Mansfield. He is survived by: his siblings, Karen Rodriguez of Toledo, Roger Mansfield (Sandy) of Leipsic and Jim Mansfield (Cheryl) of Ottawa; his nieces and nephews, Alex Rodriguez II, Adam Rodriguez, Chris Mansfield, Andrea Otto, Amanda Meyer, Jessica Osborn, Dane Mansfield, Taylor Mansfield and Kevyn Brecht; and his stepchildren, Connie and Victor Basch.
To honor Gene's memory, memorial contributions may be made to true hometown heroes, most specifically the Leipsic EMS, Leipsic Volunteer Fire Department or to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
