With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Hopkins of Leipsic, Ohio, born in Liberty Township, Ohio, who passed away on May 5, 2021 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Doris Hopkins to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy C. "Jack" and Gladys Ward (Jacob); her spouse Vestal Hopkins; and her siblings, Carole Sharrits, Richard Ward and Leon Ward.
She is survived by: her son Charles "Chuck" Hopkins (Margaret) of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Doug Hopkins (Melissa) of Columbus Grove, Deanna Hoffman (Todd) of Columbus Grove and Denise Peterson (Michael) of Avon, IN; and her stepgrandsons, Rob Bauer (Denise), Ed Kincaid (Rhonda), Brent Bauer (Julia) and Brian Bauer (Doreen Andrews). She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.
In keeping with the social distancing guidelines, a visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p. m. and Saturday from 10-11 a. m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic. Due to regulations regarding COVID-19, masks are required upon entering the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church, Leipsic.
