He was predeceased by: his parents, Cresencio Velasquez and Vicenta Velasquez (Castillo); his brothers, Cresencio Velasquez Jr. and Oscar Velasquez; and his brother-in-law Richard Spradlin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Baldemar Velasquez (Sara), Jose Velasquez, Belia Spradlin, Irma Nichols (Jim), Rick Velasquez (Amy) and Emily Semenik (John). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
