She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Merillat and Mary Merillat (Stutz); and her husband Paul Mattern. She is survived by: her children, Ronald Mattern (Linda) of Greenville, SC, James Mattern (Diana) of Leipsic, Charlie Mattern of Montrose, CO and Patsy Spring (Doug) of Lima; and her grandchildren, Nick Vance (Deb), Jeff Vance (Sally), Stephanie Nuveman (Todd), Dawn Kracht (Jeff), Brian Spring (Annabel) and Jennifer Collier (Jake). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the activity/bingo fund at The Meadows of Leipsic or to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
