He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Higgins and Edna Fox Higgins; his son Michael Gene Higgins, Jr.; and his siblings, Janet Sealey, Carla Higgins and Joseph Carl Higgins.
He is survived by: his wife Linda D. Thompson Higgins; his sons, Robert M. Higgins (Stacey) of Alexandria, OH and Patrick Higgins (Angel Wilson) of Leesville; his siblings, Danny Higgins (Nancie) of Canton, OH, Jenny Taggert (David) of Loudenville, OH, Cindy Stankula (Joseph) of Rockwood, Linda Brown (Steve) of Wellington and Larry Higgins of Wichita; and his grandchildren, Caleb Higgins, Sean Higgins of Alexandria, Dawsan Higgins and Isabella Higgins of Leesville.
