He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert K. Larkin and Mabel Ellen Larkin (Smith); his wife Kathleen Larkin (Wright); and his siblings, Margaret Alice Larkin and Philip E. Larkin.

He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Burns (Frank) of Orlando and Jeanette Girman (Robert) of Amherst; his grandchildren, Joseph Larkin, Rachael Jones, John Robert Burns and Katherine Ann Burns; his niece Mary Meier of Maryland; and his nephew David Larkin of Texas.
