He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Cockerill and Bernice Cockerill (Miller); his siblings, Bobby, Ralph, Craig Cockerill and Nina Jane Arnold; and his brothers-in-law, Clarence "Hap" Arnold and Tom Yeaworth.
He is survived by: his friend Church; his wife Joan Anderson Cockerill (Hay); his children, Jeff Cockerill (Debbie) of Leesburg, Cynthia Rose McCallister (Jim) of New Martinsburg, Mary Anna Cunningham (Philip) of Berry, AL and Carol Lynn Collins (JC) of Chillicothe; his stepchildren, Jeff Anderson (Kim) of Houston, TX, Chris Anderson of Shreveport, LA and Jennifer Lynn Anderson of Columbus; his sister Rosalee Yeaworth of Omaha, NE; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Cockerill, Jean Hay of East Monroe and Don Hay (Connie) of Columbia, MD. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
