He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl and Lucille; his sister Gretchen Bartlett; and his granddaughter Natalie Sieb. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his sons, Derek Horst (Jennifer Murphy), Ted Horst (Cathy Porter), Joe Horst (Karina) and Dan Horst (Lori); and his stepchildren, Nancy Andrews (Michael), Rebecca Dunn and Patrick Miller. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
