He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest D. Tibbs and Blanche E. Tibbs; his wife Betty Tibbs; his sons, Claude and Steven Bloomquist; and his siblings, Forest, Gene, Dale, Gerald, Clay, Blaine Tibbs, Thelma Garvin and Juanita Kelly.

He is survived by: his children, Frank Bloomquist (Tami) of Kalamazoo, MI, Jerry Bloomquist of Warren, Candy Tibbs and Louise Tibbs (Darell) of Leavittsburg; and his siblings, Darrell Tibbs of Leavittsburg, Don Tibbs of Newton Falls, Doyle Tibbs of Warren, Virginia Higinbotham of Vienna and Loretta Wilson of Newton Falls. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren.
